The Macallan 12 Year Old is one of the most awarded whiskies in the world. The colour Harvest Sun is from a cask that has been filled to just over 40% and bottled at an ABV of 40%. The nose is creamy butterscotch toffee candied orange and newly felled oak with citrus notes, balanced by notes of honey sweetness upon nosing. The palate also offers light citrus notes which are balanced by caramel warmth and toffee notes throughout. At its core lies a subtle mingling of citrus fruitiness, soft spices and an overall smoothness/creaminess topped off with a long lasting lingering bitter note
